Yeerongpilly Bathroom Renovation

Yeerongpilly main bathroom renovation with blue feature wall and brushed nickel fixtures

Looking for inspiration for a bathroom renovation in Yeerongpilly? This recent Hunter Bathrooms Brisbane project involved the renovation of two bathrooms in the one home — an ensuite and a main bathroom — in a federation-style townhouse tucked away in a leafy cul-de-sac.

The owners were renovating the entire townhouse before moving in, with new bathrooms, carpet and painting all part of the broader refresh. The goal for both bathrooms was simple: create brighter, more practical spaces with better storage, cleaner finishes and a layout that would be easier to live with every day.

Across both rooms, Hunter Bathrooms used a cohesive palette of white wall tiles, a striking Aga Agua Blue feature tile, Jelly White terrazzo-style floor tiles and brushed nickel finishes to give the home a fresh, timeless look. Ensuite Renovation in Yeerongpilly

The ensuite was redesigned to feel cleaner, brighter and more refined. Like the main bathroom, the old vanity with limited storage was removed and replaced with a new timber veneer vanity with a white moulded top for a more seamless look. The new vanity offers better storage while still keeping the room light and uncluttered.

Floor-to-ceiling tiling helped give the ensuite a more polished finish, with white 600×300 wall tiles used on three walls and the Aga Agua Blue square feature tile adding colour and texture. Brushed nickel fixtures, a new toilet, a new shower screen and upgraded lighting all helped bring the room together.

An arched mirror and well-planned lighting create a softer focal point above the vanity, while the overall palette keeps the space feeling fresh and easy to maintain. The finished ensuite now feels significantly more modern and much better suited to everyday use.

Main Bathroom Renovation in Yeerongpilly

The biggest layout improvement in the main bathroom was removing the old bath with shower overhead and turning the space into a more functional walk-in shower. This completely changed the room, making it easier to use and giving it a cleaner, more spacious feel.

The outdated timber vanity with no useful storage was also removed in favour of a new vanity with a timber veneer finish and white moulded top. Along with a new toilet, new shower screen and updated sink mixers, the room now feels much more practical and visually balanced.

Floor-to-ceiling tiling and the same material palette used in the ensuite helped tie the two rooms together. The white wall tiles keep the room bright, while the blue feature tile adds personality without overwhelming the space. The terrazzo-style floor tile adds subtle movement and warmth, and the brushed nickel finishes soften the overall look.

Materials and Features

Across both bathrooms, the renovation included:

  • Floor-to-ceiling tiling
  • White 600×300 wall tiles on three walls in both rooms
  • Aga Agua Blue Square 147×147 feature tiles
  • Jelly White 600×600 terrazzo-style floor tiles
  • Brushed nickel tapware and fittings
  • New shower screens
  • New toilets
  • Timber veneer vanities with white moulded tops
  • Easy-to-use sink mixers
  • Arched mirrors with feature lighting

These selections work well because they feel fresh and practical without chasing short-term trends. The white tiles bounce more light around the rooms, the blue feature wall adds character, and the terrazzo-style floor tile gives both bathrooms a softer, more contemporary finish.

Why This Renovation Worked

This Yeerongpilly project is a good example of how much difference practical planning can make. Rather than simply swapping old fixtures for new ones, both bathrooms were redesigned to be easier to use, brighter and better matched to the owners’ move-in plans.

In the main bathroom, converting the bath into a walk-in shower made the room more accessible and more functional. In both rooms, better vanities, improved storage, upgraded lighting and a consistent material palette lifted the finish of the whole townhouse.
