Project Overview
Hunter Bathrooms Brisbane recently completed a stunning bathroom renovation in a charming early 1900s Queenslander located in the Brisbane suburb of Annerley. The homeowners, who purchased the property three years ago, prioritized updating the bathroom as part of their gradual renovation process.
The Challenge
The original bathroom featured outdated wood paneling, reminiscent of a spa or sauna, which created a claustrophobic atmosphere. Coupled with unattractive floor tiles, the space was far from enjoyable for the homeowners.
Key Renovations
- Removed the nib wall to open up the space
- Installed 600×600 Silver Cloud tiles on the floor and most walls
- Created a feature wall with matt white petti Bella 65×280 tiles behind the bath and in the shower niche
- Positioned a family heirloom clawfoot bath under the picture window
- Added a semi-frameless shower screen with an opaque panel for toilet privacy
- Installed a new rimless back-to-wall toilet for easy cleaning
Vanity and Basin
- APD Glacier All Drawer 1200 vanity in Natural Oak Finish with Carrara Bench Top
- Margot Matte White above-counter basin
- Wall-mounted basin mixer and spout for a modern look
- Large frameless mirror above the vanity
Shower Features
- Rain shower head and handheld rail for versatile showering options
- Shower shelf featuring the same tile as the bath feature wall
- Polished chrome Mecca tapware in both shower and vanity areas
Result
The renovation transformed the once-dated bathroom into a spacious, modern, and functional space that perfectly complements the Queenslander’s character while meeting the needs of its current owners.
